‘Sperm Whale II’ still dominates Iran box office; Way ahead of 'Oxidan'

‘Sperm Whale II’by Saman Moghadam still dominates Iran domestic box office while ‘Oxidan’ by Hamed Mohammadi securing second spot with huge gap.

According to latest sales figures released in a local media report, ‘Sperm Whale II’ is still a top charter after several weeks grossing  over 170 billion rials followed by ‘Oxidan’ which cannot boast its rank due to gaining just 20.5 billion rials.

Other domestically-made Iranian films taking the lower spots on the list include ‘My Brother Khosrow’ by Ehsan Biglari, Under the Smoky Roof’ by Pouranderakhsahndeh and Hamid Nematollah’s ‘Subdued’.

The report also said, newly screened Iranian film ‘Simple Worker Need’ by Manouchehr Hadi raked in 300 million rials in just two days after theatrical release.
